Hello and Goodbye in Seattle

Seattle, WA –

On the Road Again

Leaving Oregon was delayed a bit by trying to make sure I left the R100 with Stephen in good working order. I really didn’t want to leave a project for him to work on when he has a baby to take care of. Issues sorted on the bike, I only left about 12 hours later than intended or so. It was good to be on the road again though. This lifestyle seems like a continuous repetition of Hello and Goodbye sometimes.

I met Steph up at a brewery on the way to Seattle and I have to say… I love breweries with big parking lots and ones that don’t care if you spend the night in them. Cheers to For Tomorrow We Die.

Arriving in Seattle, Washington

Originally I had planned on staying at a campground and dropping the trailer off there to just take my Sequoia into Seattle, but Kile had mentioned he saw someone with a nice motorhome park it along his street for weeks with seemingly no consequence. Rather than drive an hour out of my way and cut my Seattle stay short on Thursday, I opted to check out this street parking and hopefully stay until Friday morning in Seattle. One day later I saw no parking tickets or warnings on my vehicle! Score! It’ll be nice having one extra day to spend more time with Steph.

It was lovely catching up with Kile and Rachel on arrival into town. I know I definitely am in their space while staying on their couch but they always make me feel welcome whenever I come by. Hopefully I can convince them to come visit me in the trailer again sometime. Well, whenever Kile gets more vacation time, I believe it’s pretty scarce.

It was bittersweet with the hello and goodbye in Seattle. It was great meeting Kile again. See ya down the road Steph.

On a side note, I feel like I know how to operate all sorts of bathroom door knobs to lock it until I encounter one I’ve never seen before and have to spend a few moments figuring it out. Weird nomad thoughts of being in many many different cafe bathrooms.
