Dawson City, Yukon, Canada –
June 20th was the start of the gathering for Dust to Dawson. Now, this is an informal meetup of adventure riders, mostly out of Anchorage Alaska. I was originally turned onto this event from something my uncle said when I mentioned that I’d be passing through Dawson City. Sure enough my timing through coincided with my time in Northwestern Canada.
I only felt a *little bit* out of place as the only one that seemingly trailered his bike there, as well as having an electric bike. People were very welcoming regardless! Silas, Brittany, Kayla, Josh, Lucas, Louis, was great meeting all y’all! The games were fun, I’ll definitely have to post some interesting pics from there, haha.
As an aside, it’s always interesting meeting folks organically in person only to discover they have a couple thousand followers on instagram or something. Keep in mind as I write this I literally created my “public” instagram only weeks ago and it has maybe 4 posts. Less than a hundred followers and my posts are essentially just a quick paragraph and music with pictures. Some of these peoples posts seem way more professional!
